DHAMMAGIRI'S SEVEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY
will be celebrated with a visit by Ajahn Karuniko Ajahn Karuniko, deputy abbot at CITTA VIVEKA Chithurst Monastery in the UK, will be visiting Dhammagiri from Friday 25th April until Tuesday 29th April 2014, which includes the Anzac Day long weekend. He will be leading the program to celebrate the 7 year anniversary of dhammagiri. AJAHN TIRADHAMMO DEPARTS Ajahn Tiradhammo has left Dhammagiri to spend some time in Northern NSW and Sydney before returning to Thailand. The Dhammagiri community is very appreciative of his time and inspiring Dhamma talks with us. BODHI TREE PROPOSED LANDSCAPING Extensive landscaping is under way for the surrounds of the Bodhi Tree at the top of Dhammagiri hill. This will include a glass fence to protect the tree from damage by local widlife and the surrounds will be extended and leveled for safer access with a path for comfortable circumambulation. 09:00 - 10:00 am.....Taking Refuge in the Triple Gem, Observance of 8 or 5 precepts & Guided Meditation
10:00 - 10:30 am......Preparation of food for Almsround
10:30 - 11:45 am.....Almsround & Shared Meal
11:45 - 1:00 pm.......Dhammatalk and discussion
01:30 - 2:30 pm.......Chanting and Guided Meditation when the monk is available.
If not, anyone is welcome to do personal meditation in the Dhammahall until the next session.
03:00 - 5:00 pm.......Guided Meditation & Dhammatalk
Please note: The ceremony at 9.00am is not only for those observing 8 precepts as it
includes both 8 and 5 precepts and one can join or leave at any time in the program
Please be seated in the Dhammahall at least 15 mins before start of sessions.
Please observe noble silence near the Dhammahall on this day.

Please note that Monday dana (food offering) is no longer open to the general community.
Everyone is welcome to join the program on Saturday and Sunday and to bring food to offer to the monks and to share with other lay visitors.
On Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday food is offered by people rostered to do so and the senior monk is available for
private discussion with them after the meal. If you wish to be added to the roster for these days, please contact the monastery.
Please do not turn up unexpectedly on these days as the time and location of the food offering may vary and Almsround is sometimes conducted
in communities outside the monastery.

Installation of New Bushfire Bunker
Following another devastating bushfire season in Australia, Dhammagiri has installed an underground bushfire bunker to improve the safety of the resident and visiting monks. New furniture for the new accommodation for visiting
or sick monks. Anumodana to all the people who generously supported the Dhammagiri Celebration Night held recently. All proceeds from the night have gone toward providing most of the new furniture for the recently completed accommodation on top of the hill. |
From Vision to Reality
As the new monks' facilities on top of the hill near completion, Bhante Dhammasiha would like to express his Anumodana to all the generous donors and supporters who made this very important development a reality.
